The High School Entrepreneurship Cup® seeks to spark entrepreneurial talent among young people

The project aims to benefit 100,000 high schools, offering cash prizes for teachers, scholarships, and a trip to Silicon Valley.

The High School Entrepreneurship Cup® is an innovative competition, exclusively for teenagers and young high school students. Its goal is to encourage the teaching of entrepreneurship in public and private schools throughout the country and to develop entrepreneurial talent. The project was created by Roberto Miranda, Chancellor of Roberto Miranda College (URM®).

With the goal of promoting dialogue about entrepreneurship among youth, the High School Entrepreneurship Cup® offers students regularly enrolled in high school at public or private schools the opportunity to form teams of 2 to 5 members and present their business ideas to a jury of successful entrepreneurs.

Students can submit their ideas on the competition website: www.entrepreneurshipcup.com.

Additionally, schools can also register to receive educational materials to help teachers guide the teams.

During the competition, students watch video lessons to help them prepare their presentations for the jury. Projects must be submitted each year by September 30.

The announcement of the 10 finalist teams will be made on October 30, and the grand final, with in-person pitch presentations to the jury, takes place on November 10.

The members of the three winning teams will receive full scholarships for the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at URM, and the winning team will have the opportunity to participate in the Silicon Valley BootCamp® in Silicon Valley.

Besides available sponsorships, the project also counts on a legion of volunteers - mentors who offer motivational talks at educational events to promote entrepreneurship among young people and guide teams through mentorship meetings at schools.

Companies and individuals can also support the competition through tax incentives approved by the Culture Incentive Law.

The judges are inspiring professionals with strong experience in evaluating new businesses. For that reason, they - entrepreneurs - will contribute positively to the evaluation of the projects. The confirmed judges include Alex Soncini, Bernardo Carneiro, Caito Maia, Guga Stocco, João Vianna, and Fernando Seabra as allies in selecting the best ideas.

So far, the project has received support from the Departments of Education of multiple states. The expectation is that, within the first quarter, all states will be contacted to establish partnerships with the High School Entrepreneurship Cup®.

The project offers sponsorship packages approved by the Culture Incentive Law, allowing for a 100% deduction of the invested amount from the income tax of companies and individuals.

Current sponsors include: Grant Thornton, Sotreq CAL, BASF, Mahle, Ancar Ivanhoé, Calcário Cazanga, and Digix.
