Competition awards schools that present entrepreneurial projects

Folha Web – 02/15/2023

Competition awards schools that present entrepreneurial projects

The project aims to benefit 100,000 high schools, offering cash prizes for teachers, scholarships, and a trip to Silicon Valley.

With the goal of encouraging dialogue about entrepreneurship among young people, the High School Entrepreneurship Cup is offering an opportunity for students enrolled in public or private high schools in Brazil to form teams of 2 to 5 members and present their business ideas to a panel of successful entrepreneurs.

Students can submit their ideas on the competition’s official website. Additionally, schools can register to receive educational materials that help teachers guide their teams.

During the competition, students watch video lessons that help them prepare their pitches for the jury. Projects must be submitted each year by September 30. The 10 finalist teams will be announced on October 30, and the Grand Final, with in-person pitch presentations to the jury, will take place on November 10.

The members of the top three teams will receive full scholarships for the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at URM, and the winning team will have the opportunity to participate in the Silicon Valley BootCamp, held in Silicon Valley.

In addition to available sponsorships, the project is supported by a large network of volunteers and mentors, who offer motivational talks and share personal success stories at educational events to inspire students and guide them through mentoring sessions at their schools.

Companies and individuals can also support the competition through tax-deductible donations authorized by the Brazilian Culture Incentive Law.

The judges are inspiring professionals with extensive experience in evaluating new businesses. As entrepreneurs themselves, they play a crucial role in analyzing the projects and selecting the best ideas. Confirmed judges include Alex Soncini, Bernardo Carneiro, Caito Maia, Guga Stocco, João Vianna, and Fernando Seabra.
